Today most personal computer system comes with 128 MB to 512 MB memory (Random Access Memory). 128 MB to 256 MB RAM is essential to run the basic applications. High RAM like 512 MB to 1 GB is needed for optimal performance when using graphical and multimedia programs.
Nowadays companies introduced DDR and DDR2 RAMs due to which peoples are enthusiastic to know about DDR. DDR is the acronym for Double Data Rate. The secret to DDR memory’s high performance is ability to perform two data operations in one clock cycle- providing twice the throughput of SDRAM.
The maximum memory range of RAM is continuously increasing. If you have low capacity RAM you can upgrade and increase the capacity of it by fitting another RAM along with previous RAM. But the condition is that your motherboard should support two RAM disks at a time, otherwise the upgradation is only possible by removing previous RAM.
